Rainer has had fascination with design and houses as long as he can remember. “I have always been interested in where people choose to live and why - whether that be the house itself, the area, or the city. There are so many fascinating factors that make people choose one property over another.” As a professional musician (he is Associate Principal Trumpet at Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra) Rainer loves interacting with people. “The best part of real estate is having a laugh and a chat with buyers and vendors and hearing their stories. I really think the more down-to-earth you are with people, the more information you get, to really find them the house they need - sometimes it’s all in the throwaway comment or passing remark. While we need to talk facts and figures, we also need to really listen to where people are coming from and where they are at – so we can help them achieve their property goal for that stage in their life. Rainer is an inner city dweller who has previously lived in Orakei and Mount Eden. As a dedicated coffee drinker he’s been on a mission to find the best flat white in the central suburbs, and if you’re nice to him he’ll tell you all the best spots in the area you’re looking to buy.
